Erin Paul is a New York based French hornist, known for both a versatile performance career and as a co-founder of the nonprofit ensemble Calliope Brass.
With a mantra of “have horn, will travel,” Erin’s diverse résumé includes Broadway, Carnegie Hall, the Las Vegas Strip, barns in France, historic theaters in Eastern Europe, and with major artists including Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Marie Osmund. As a classically trained artist, she often performs with the Palm Beach Symphony and Florida Grand Opera; she has additionally appeared with the Sarajevo Philharmonic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Opera Tampa, Las Vegas Philharmonic, and the New Haven Symphony.
Erin’s artistic flagship project is Calliope Brass: a nonprofit ensemble that presents innovative and exciting performances for all ages. Since its founding in 2015, the quintet continues to commission composers both established and new, but also collaborates with creatives from disparate genres and disciplines. For example, Calliope Brass tapped the music associate from the national tour of Hamilton and puppeteers from Sesame Street to develop “What’s Your Story?”, a narrative-driven educational workshop that toured for two seasons, eventually adapted for remote classrooms as “What’s Your Story? Online!”. The quintet released its debut album in 2020, Rose Strewn Course, and continues to mentor aspiring professionals through masterclasses and workshops.
Erin holds degrees from The Hartt School (B.M.) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (M.M.). During her time as an educator, she was on faculty at two elite secondary schools in the New York City area: Kent Place School and Horace Mann School until 2019. Her principal teachers include Daniel Grabois, Peter Reit, and Bill Bernatis.
Based in Secaucus, New Jersey, she lives with her partner, hornist Aleks Ozolins, and their dog Rudy.

Erin is a Premier Customer Champion at Zapier. Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration. It’s easy enough that anyone can build their own app workflows with just a few clicks!
As a Customer Champion, Erin communicates clearly and empathetically via written communications with customers to troubleshoot technical issues related to API integrations. She identifies and reports bugs and feature requests, and escalates customer insights to cross-functional teams.
After her promotion to the Premier team supporting multi-user accounts, Erin provides high-touch support for multi-user plans with first response times under one hour. She recently began the role of a support team embed, where she acts as a point of contact between support and product teams to provide support feedback, prioritize bugs and feature requests, communicates notifications relevant to internally-owned apps to the larger support organization, and coordinates external communications to users around major product changes by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
